One of the best mid-nineenth century views of Port Lincoln. Taken from Point Boston looking across to Boston Bay towards the town with the tip of Boston Island to the left. ln the distance the islands at the mouth of Spencer Gulf.

The artist James Charles Armytage, (1820-1897) did a number of the prints in Carton Booth's "Australia Illustrated". He was an established English professional artist and engraver, highly regarded.
