Mary Norris and John Campbell went into partnership in 1845 as watch and chronometer and nautical instrument makers in Liverpool. Mary was an established clockmaker prior to the partnership. Campbell left the partnership in 1857.

The chronometer is a two day movement. In good working order.

Serial No 756.

By no means major makers of their period, they none-the-less produced a very beautiful clock. Solid gold spade hands, silver dial with all the brass work, still with traces of the original laquer.

The case is a three tier Brazilian rosewood example, brass bound with brass carrying handles still bearing traces of the original laquer finish. Good condition with little trace of age.

Serviced and tested.

NORRIS & CAMPBELL CHRONOMETER.
