A good example of a Kings Ware decanter,one of the two models of Nelson by Royal Doulton produced for Dewar's Whisky in the early twentieth century. Kings Ware was developed by Charles Noke, Royal Doulton's principal modeller in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It was used mainly in applications for advertising and packaging hence its adaption by Dewar's Whisky for their range of character decanters in the early twentieth century.

The original stopper in the form of an anchor with DEWARS WHISKY in repousse lettering.
