An unmarked William Blews candleholder designed to burn Palmers patent candles. Counter balanced with a dolphin bulkhead bracket. Blews were a firm of Birmingham brassmakers with London showrooms. They exhibited at The Great Exhibition of 1851. Palmers candles were manufactured from palm oil.
