Spanish chart of the approaches to the Wouri River and the city of Douala, the commercial centre of Cameroon. Madrid 1905. No 706.

The river was named Camerones (Prawns) by the Portuguese in the late fifteenth century due to the plentiful mud lobsters, the name eventually was applied to the country of Cameroon itself.

Good condition with several archive stamps in the bottom margin not affectinting the printed surface.
