Engraved view of Sydney Cove taken from the original engraving published in the official French account of the Baudin/Peron Voyage of 1801. This German edition was published between 1808-19 as part of Entdeckungsreise nach Australien.  In the foreground is the French encampment and to the left, in very close proximity are a group of aborigines.
